Zuiderwaterlinie: audiowalks
With knowledge of the history of the Zuiderwaterlinie and with an eye for the challenges that lie ahead for the future, visual artist Tijs Rooijakkers and I will organize multiple art expressions over the course of 2024 spread across the Zuiderwaterlinie. These expressions make the line visible and connect it with stakeholders, problem owners, and interested parties, encouraging them to engage in dialogue and action.
The pictures below are from the first event. In a frozen over Bergen Op Zoom in January 2024 I organized an audiowalk. During this audiowalk people carried a bowl of river water as we walked where once the river de Grebbe flowed through the city. At the end of the walk, this water was mixed into the lake. As a symbiolic initiation of a conversation with the river.
